Dynamic Flow with Jil

Every Wednesday 5-6 pm

In this dynamic vinyasa class, you can expect to be allowed to challenge your body and mind, carried and supported through a focus on breath. These classes will have varying focuses on body parts, intentions or specific asanas, in either case, you will learn and be able to synchronize the breath with your movements in a continual flow. Find playfulness in shared vibrations, and create your practice as you want. Most classes will open with a pranayama (extending life force ie. breath work) exercise, move towards sun salutations, include standing and seated asanas and end with a savasana.

All levels are welcome

ABOUT JIL
headshotJil was introduced to yoga three years ago, having trained as a dancer from the age of four on, it was the learning to breathe through movement that inspired her to keep returning to the mat. Seeing the benefits of yoga practice, she trained to become a yoga teacher to ground the somatic sensations in lineages of Indian knowledge and pass it on responsibly.

The discipline of ballet, the expression of jazz dance and the freedom of Western contemporary dance combine to create unique yoga sequences and body movements.

You can therefore expect a strong dynamic flow, interwoven with breath work, yin elements and modifications.
